Medium Solidity Hydrofoils
Highly-engineered, highly innovative technology is, by definition, something other than a one-size-fits-all solution to the complex mixing problems in process industries. Mixing Solutions understands that and has customised its offering by creating a line of medium solidity hydrofoils.
The standard MHS medium solidity hydrofoil is best used for material in the viscosity range of 2,500cp to 15,000cp, typical of many applications in chemical, petrochemical or downstream HPI industries. It is also prevalently used in light gassing duty typical of hydrometallurgical applications. Characterised by its narrower blade design, the MHS series of hydrofoils has power numbers from 0.6 to 1.1.
Medium Solidity Hydrofoil (MHS) / Rounded Tip Medium Solidity Hydrofoil (RMHS)
Some medium viscosity mixing applications involve abrasive solids that can cause excessive wear on the impeller blades. To allow for these types of conditions, Mixing Solutions offer a variation on its line of medium solidity hydrofoils called Rounded Tip Medium Solidity Hydrofoils, or RMHS. The RMHS line, also characterised by a narrower blade design, features a rounded blade design to extend its life in abrasive environments. The 0.50 power number associated with the RMHS also ensures its successful operation in the field.
